Emergency Board-Up & Vandalism Cleanup in Henderson, NV
Take photos of the damage, then call us. We come out day or night, clear the broken glass, and cover the open window, door or wall with plywood fastened into the framing so nobody gets in tonight and the weather stays out.
It might be a break-in through a slider, a vandalized front window, windows the fire crew broke to vent smoke, or a car that came through the garage. Each one gets secured the same night. The permanent fix can wait until you and your carrier are ready.
Board-up work has to feel handled.

What's on your mind with a hole in the house
A lot of board-up calls come late at night, from someone standing in the driveway.
Can this really wait until morning?
Usually, no. An open window or a kicked-in door is an invitation, and a house that just had a fire is an easy target because everyone knows nobody's sleeping there. Wind and a monsoon storm can push dust and rain through an opening overnight. Board it up tonight and keep the damage to what already happened.
What should I do before you get here?
Stay safe first. After a break-in, let the police clear the house. Then take photos of every broken window and door from inside and outside, plus anything that was taken or damaged. Don't sweep up the glass or throw anything out yet.
A car hit the house. Is it safe to be inside?
Stay out of that part of the house until someone has looked at it. If the car took out part of a wall, that wall may have been holding up the roof. We close the opening, keep the area blocked off, and get the structure looked at before anything is rebuilt.
Will plywood ruin my stucco or window frames?
We fasten into the framing around the opening and keep the board-up as tidy as we can, because the permanent repair has to happen on the same wall later. It won't look like a finished window. It shouldn't make the repair bigger, either.
Is there glass everywhere? My kids and dog live here.
Broken glass travels farther than people think, especially from a sliding door. It ends up in carpet, under furniture and in the tracks. We clean up the glass and debris inside as part of the visit, and keep kids and pets out of that room until we're done.
How much does it cost? Will insurance pay?
We don't quote fire damage over the phone. Smoke gets into attics, closets and ductwork you can't see from the doorway, so the price has to come from an on-site walk-through. The estimate breaks board-up, cleaning, odor work, pack-out and rebuild into separate lines.
For a board-up, the price is mostly the openings: how many, how large, and how hard they are to reach. One front window is quick. A sliding door wall, a second-story window, or a car-sized hole in the garage takes more material and more hands. Cleaning up a lot of glass adds time.

Insurance or self-pay, you decide
Your carrier decides what the policy pays. Our job is the record: we photograph the damage before anything gets cleaned or hauled out, so the proof is still there after the debris is gone.
If it was a break-in or vandalism, file the police report first and keep the number handy. Carriers usually ask for it before anything else.
Paying yourself? Ask about the self-pay discount. The estimate is free, and you see the price before we start.

How we board up an opening
- 1
Photograph before we touch it
Every damaged window, door and wall gets photographed from both sides before we remove glass or put up a single board. That's the proof your adjuster needs, and it disappears the moment the plywood goes up.
- 2
Clear the loose glass and debris
Hanging shards come out of the frame so they can't fall on someone later, and the glass inside gets cleaned up off the floor and out of the carpet.
- 3
Measure and cut to fit
Each opening gets measured and its board cut to fit. A sliding door, a garage side door and a front window each close up differently.
- 4
Secure it from the framing
The board goes into solid framing so it can't be pried off easily from outside.
- 5
Write it up
You get the photos, the measurements and a note on what we used on each opening, so your carrier sees the temporary work and the glazier or contractor knows what's coming off.
An open house can get hit twice.
Until the openings are closed, anyone walking by can get in, and a dust storm or a monsoon cell can blow straight through the hole. Anything that happens after the first loss can get tangled up in the claim.
A board-up tonight keeps the file to the damage that already happened.
Secure the opening, then plan the repair.
A board-up is the first step. These pages cover the work that often comes after it.
What's included
What happens on a board-up visit, and what gets handed to someone else.
What we do
- Photos of every damaged opening, inside and out, before we start
- Removing hanging glass from the frames
- Cleaning up broken glass and debris inside the house
- Plywood cut to fit and fastened into the framing
- Measurements and a written note on each opening for your carrier
What we don't do
- Replacing windows or door glass. That's a glazier or window company.
- Roof repair. We tarp it, and a roofer fixes it.
- Structural engineering after a vehicle impact. If a wall is damaged, it needs to be checked before it's rebuilt.
- Security systems or cameras.
Emergency board-up questions
How fast can you do an emergency board up in Henderson?
We answer after hours, and our Henderson crew can usually be on site in the Las Vegas area within an hour. Call 888-453-3591 and tell us which openings are damaged so we bring the right material.
How much does emergency board-up cost?
It depends on how many openings there are, how big they are, and whether it's a quick window or a whole sliding door wall. After-hours calls and glass cleanup factor in too. We tell you the price before we start. If you're paying out of pocket, ask about the self-pay discount.
Does insurance pay for board-up after a break-in or vandalism?
Board-up is usually treated as work to prevent further damage, which many policies expect you to do. Your carrier decides what gets paid. Get a police report number for a break-in or vandalism, because most claims ask for it, and we'll send the photos and scope.
Do you replace the broken windows?
No. We secure the opening and clean up the glass. Replacing the window or the door glass is work for a glazier or window company. A damaged door frame or wall goes to our rebuild side or your contractor.

Clear work, clean documentation, no mystery in the middle.
For Emergency Board-Up & Vandalism Cleanup, you should be able to see what we found and what we did about it. That's what the paperwork is for.
When we leave, you should have a plain explanation of the work and paperwork that still makes sense weeks later if an adjuster asks.
Certified standards
IICRC-certified technicians work to the published industry standards instead of judging the job by how it looks.
Claim-ready documentation
Photos and scope notes are collected as the work moves, so you and your adjuster can see what changed and why.
Cleaning matched to the soot
Protein soot from a kitchen fire and synthetic soot from burning plastics need different methods. We test first so we don't smear residue deeper into the surface.
One accountable plan
The emergency work and the rebuild stay under one plan, so nothing falls into the gap between two contractors.
Local loss experience
Smoke moves through attics, closets and ductwork. We check those spaces before we price the job, not halfway through it.
What we tell you before work expands
What needs action now
What needs attention today and what can wait. If part of it belongs to a plumber or roofer, we say so.
What should stay closed
We don't open finished walls or ceilings until the readings and the access tell us it's worth it.
What happens next
Stabilize first. Repair decisions come after the building is under control.
