“Great price. Highly recommend this company for any service or repair.”
Fire & Smoke Insurance Claim Assistance in Henderson, NV
The most useful thing you can do for a fire claim is photograph everything before it's cleaned or thrown away, then keep every receipt while you're out of the house. We handle the rest of the paper trail: photos of every room, a box-by-box contents list and a line-item estimate your adjuster can check. We don't negotiate the claim. Your carrier decides what it pays.
A fire file in Henderson usually has more moving parts than a water claim. There's the house, the smoke that went beyond the burned room, everything you own, and the hotel or rental while you're out. Each one gets looked at separately.

What people ask us about the claim
Most folks have never filed a fire claim before. These are the questions that come up first.
What do I do before anybody starts cleaning?
Take pictures. Every room, the ceilings, inside closets and cabinets, the burned things and the things that only smell like smoke. Once soot gets wiped or a couch gets dragged to the curb, the proof is gone. If you can't go back in yet, we'll photograph it on the walk-through.
Can I throw out the burned stuff?
Not yet. Carriers usually want to see damaged items, or at least clear photos and a description, before they're discarded. Move spoiled food out if you have to, but photograph it first. For everything else, wait until your adjuster says it's okay.
How am I supposed to list everything we owned?
Room by room. Not all at once. Your phone's photo library, old receipts and online order history help a lot. If we pack out the house, our box-by-box inventory and photos cover much of what's still there, and our list of unsalvageable items covers much of what isn't.
We're in a hotel. Does insurance pay for that?
Many policies include additional living expenses when the house isn't livable. Keep every receipt: the room, meals beyond what you'd normally spend on groceries, laundry, the extra gas for a longer commute. Your carrier decides what qualifies, but you can't claim what you can't show.
Will you deal with the adjuster for me?
We'll meet the adjuster at the house, walk the damage with them, and answer every question about our scope and pricing. What we can't do is negotiate your claim or argue coverage. In Nevada, that's work for a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
How much does it cost? Will insurance pay?
We don't quote fire damage over the phone. Smoke gets into attics, closets and ductwork you can't see from the doorway, so the price has to come from an on-site walk-through. The estimate breaks board-up, cleaning, odor work, pack-out and rebuild into separate lines.
What moves the estimate on a fire claim is how much of the house needs rebuilding versus cleaning, and how much of what you own needs pack-out. We keep those as separate sections so your adjuster reviews each piece on its own, instead of one total that's hard to follow.

Insurance or self-pay, you decide
Your carrier decides what the policy pays. Our job is the record: we photograph the damage before anything gets cleaned or hauled out, so the proof is still there after the debris is gone.
Read your policy for deadlines on reporting the loss and submitting your contents list. They're easy to miss in the first few weeks.
Paying yourself? Ask about the self-pay discount. The estimate is free, and you see the price before we start.

How we document a fire claim
- 1
Photograph the house before we touch it
Wall by wall and room by room, including the attic, ducts and closets. On a fire job, the smoke damage in a back bedroom matters as much as the burned kitchen. It's also the part people forget to shoot.
- 2
Separate what's urgent from what can wait
Board-up, tarping and drying hose water are the work that stops more damage. We write those up on their own so your adjuster can see why they started before the full estimate was approved.
- 3
Inventory the contents
What's salvageable gets packed and listed by box. What isn't gets photographed and described with the room it came from, so you're not rebuilding that list from memory.
- 4
Write the estimate line by line
Structure, cleaning, contents and rebuild each get their own lines. Your adjuster can compare it to theirs item by item instead of arguing about one big number.
- 5
Keep you and the adjuster working from the same file
Photos, scope and updates go to you and the carrier together. If the adjuster asks why a wall came out, the answer and the picture are already in there.
You can't take the before photos after.
Once the debris is hauled out and the walls are wiped, the proof of how bad it was goes with it. That's why we shoot every room before a single thing is cleaned.
Later, when someone asks why a ceiling was replaced instead of painted, the answer is a photo, not a memory.
What's included
What we do for your fire claim, and the lines we don't cross.
What we do
- Photos of every room, the attic and the ducts before cleanup
- A box-by-box inventory of packed-out contents
- A photographed list of items that can't be saved
- Urgent work like board-up and drying written up separately
- A line-item estimate for cleaning, contents and rebuild
- Meeting the adjuster on site and answering scope questions
What we don't do
- Negotiating your settlement or arguing coverage. That's a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
- Telling you what your policy covers. Only your carrier can decide that.
- Calculating additional living expenses. Keep your receipts and send them to your carrier.
Fire insurance claim questions
What does fire insurance claim help from a restoration company include?
Documentation. Photos before cleanup, a contents inventory, a written scope and a line-item estimate, plus answers when your adjuster has questions about the work. It doesn't include negotiating your settlement.
What's the first thing to do for a fire insurance claim?
Call your carrier to open the claim and get a claim number. Then photograph the damage before anything is cleaned, and ask the fire department how to get a copy of the incident report. Most carriers ask for it.
Do I pay you, or does insurance?
It depends on your policy and how your carrier pays. Usually you cover your deductible and the carrier pays for covered work. The walk-through and estimate are free, and if you decide to pay yourself instead of filing, ask about the self-pay discount.
Why is the insurance check made out to my mortgage company too?
Structure payments often list the lender, because they have a stake in the house. It's normal. Call your lender early to ask how they release funds for repairs, so the rebuild isn't waiting on a signature.
Should I hire a public adjuster for a fire claim?
That's your call. On a large or complicated loss, some people do. A public adjuster works for you and charges a fee from the settlement. Either way, we document the damage the same way.

For Fire & Smoke Insurance Claim Assistance, you should be able to see what we found and what we did about it. That's what the paperwork is for.
When we leave, you should have a plain explanation of the work and paperwork that still makes sense weeks later if an adjuster asks.
Certified standards
IICRC-certified technicians work to the published industry standards instead of judging the job by how it looks.
Claim-ready documentation
Photos and scope notes are collected as the work moves, so you and your adjuster can see what changed and why.
Cleaning matched to the soot
Protein soot from a kitchen fire and synthetic soot from burning plastics need different methods. We test first so we don't smear residue deeper into the surface.
One accountable plan
The emergency work and the rebuild stay under one plan, so nothing falls into the gap between two contractors.
Local loss experience
Smoke moves through attics, closets and ductwork. We check those spaces before we price the job, not halfway through it.
What we tell you before work expands
What needs action now
What needs attention today and what can wait. If part of it belongs to a plumber or roofer, we say so.
What should stay closed
We don't open finished walls or ceilings until the readings and the access tell us it's worth it.
What happens next
Stabilize first. Repair decisions come after the building is under control.
