Quality 1st Restoration home

Commercial Fire Damage Restoration in Henderson, NV

After a fire at your business, the goal is getting the doors open again. We secure the building, seal off the damaged area so staff and tenants can use the rest where it's safe, clean the smoke and soot, dry the sprinkler or hose water, and rebuild. Every step is documented for your business policy.

In Henderson that might be a restaurant kitchen fire, an electrical fire in a strip-center unit, or smoke that spread through a shared attic in an office park. Each one has neighbors, a landlord and a schedule to work around.

What business owners ask us first

It's rarely about the building. It's about the staff, the customers and when the register opens again.

How soon can we reopen?

That depends on how far the smoke went and what your inspector or fire marshal requires. We won't guess before we've walked the building. What we can do is plan the job so the parts of the building that are usable get cleaned and handed back first, while the damaged area stays sealed off.

Can we keep working in the rest of the building?

Often, yes. We wall off the damaged area with plastic barriers and run air filtration so the dust and odor stay on our side. Staff and customers use a different entrance or route, and we mark it clearly so nobody wanders into the work zone.

What about the tenants next door?

In a strip center or an office building, smoke can move into neighboring units through shared ceilings and ductwork. We check those spaces too, with the property manager's okay, and schedule the loud work around their hours where we can.

The sprinklers went off. Is that its own problem?

Yes. Sprinkler water soaks ceiling tiles, carpet, drywall and whatever inventory was on the floor. It has to be pulled out and dried like any other water loss, or the fire problem can turn into a mold problem later.

Who talks to the landlord, the tenants and the adjuster?

You pick one person on your side, and you get one person on ours. We keep the property manager and the adjuster updated on scope and schedule so you're not relaying messages between them all day.

How much does it cost? Will insurance pay?

We don't quote fire damage over the phone. Smoke gets into attics, closets and ductwork you can't see from the doorway, so the price has to come from an on-site walk-through. The estimate breaks board-up, cleaning, odor work, pack-out and rebuild into separate lines.

On a commercial job, square footage is only the start. High ceilings and open warehouse space take more time to clean. Inventory and equipment that need packing out, cleaning or disposal add up fast. Working nights or weekends to keep you open costs more than daytime work, and smoke in neighboring units adds their spaces to the scope.

Insurance or self-pay, you decide

Your carrier decides what the policy pays. Our job is the record: we photograph the damage before anything gets cleaned or hauled out, so the proof is still there after the debris is gone.

Commercial policies often have separate coverage for the building, your inventory and equipment, and lost income. Ask your agent which ones you have. Keep payroll and sales records handy, too. The income side is usually reviewed against your numbers.

Paying yourself? Ask about the self-pay discount. The estimate is free, and you see the price before we start.

How we run a commercial fire job

  1. 1

Secure the building and the site

Broken storefront glass and doors get boarded, and the damaged area gets taped off so employees and customers stay clear of it.

  2. 2

    Photograph everything before cleanup

Every room, the stock, the equipment and the ceiling space get photographed as they are. Your policy likely covers the building, the contents and lost income on separate lines, and each one needs its own proof.

  3. 3

Seal off the damage and give back what you can

Containment goes up between the damaged area and the rest of the space. Rooms that only took light smoke get cleaned first so you can get back into them sooner.

  4. 4

Dry out the sprinkler or hose water

Standing water gets extracted. Wet materials get dried and checked with moisture meters, room by room.

  5. 5

    Clean, deodorize and rebuild

Soot comes off surfaces, the ductwork serving the space gets cleaned, odor gets treated, and burned finishes get rebuilt. Loud, dusty work can happen after hours if that helps you stay open.

The rest of the building can keep working.

Plastic barriers and negative air pressure keep the dust and smell inside the work zone. Signs and a separate route keep employees and visitors out of it.

That lets the loud, messy part of the job go on in one corner while the front of the business stays open, when the fire marshal and your insurer agree it's safe to.

What's included

What we handle on a commercial fire loss, and where other trades or professionals take over.

What we do

  • Boarding up storefronts, doors and windows
  • Photos of the building, stock and equipment before cleanup
  • Containment and air filtration between the damage and the open space
  • Packing out, cleaning or listing inventory and equipment
  • Extracting and drying sprinkler and hose water
  • Soot cleaning, duct cleaning and deodorization
  • Rebuilding drywall, ceilings and finishes
  • Separate documentation for building, contents and timeline

What we don't do

  • Servicing or recharging sprinkler and fire alarm systems. That's your fire protection contractor.
  • Electrical, gas or rooftop HVAC repair. Those go to licensed trades.
  • Calculating lost income. That's your accountant working with your carrier.
  • Negotiating your claim. We document. Your carrier decides.

Commercial fire restoration questions

What does commercial fire damage restoration include?

Everything from the board-up to the rebuild. In between, we pack out inventory and equipment, clean the soot, dry out the sprinkler water and deodorize. For a business, it also means planning the work so the usable parts of the building come back first.

Can you work nights or weekends so we can stay open?

For the noisy, dusty parts of the job, we can plan around your hours. Tell us when your busy times are during the walk-through and we'll build the schedule around them where the work allows.

How much does commercial fire cleanup cost?

It's priced on site. Square footage, ceiling height, how far the smoke traveled, how much inventory needs cleaning or disposal, and whether we're working after hours all move the number. The walk-through and estimate are free.

Will my business insurance pay for fire restoration?

Your carrier and your policy decide that, and commercial policies vary a lot. We keep the building, contents and timeline documentation separate from day one, because business interruption coverage and property coverage usually get reviewed by different people.

Clear work, clean documentation, no mystery in the middle.

For Commercial Fire Damage Restoration, you should be able to see what we found and what we did about it. That's what the paperwork is for.

When we leave, you should have a plain explanation of the work and paperwork that still makes sense weeks later if an adjuster asks.

Certified standards

IICRC-certified technicians work to the published industry standards instead of judging the job by how it looks.

Claim-ready documentation

Photos and scope notes are collected as the work moves, so you and your adjuster can see what changed and why.

Cleaning matched to the soot

Protein soot from a kitchen fire and synthetic soot from burning plastics need different methods. We test first so we don't smear residue deeper into the surface.

One accountable plan

The emergency work and the rebuild stay under one plan, so nothing falls into the gap between two contractors.

Local loss experience

Smoke moves through attics, closets and ductwork. We check those spaces before we price the job, not halfway through it.

What we tell you before work expands

What needs action now

What needs attention today and what can wait. If part of it belongs to a plumber or roofer, we say so.

What should stay closed

We don't open finished walls or ceilings until the readings and the access tell us it's worth it.

What happens next

Stabilize first. Repair decisions come after the building is under control.
