“Great price. Highly recommend this company for any service or repair.”
Roof Tarping Services in Henderson, NV
If your roof is open from a fire or a storm, we put a temporary tarp over it, anchored to the roof, so no more water gets in while a roofer schedules the real repair. Then we check the attic and ceilings underneath and dry anything that already got wet.
Around Henderson it's often a monsoon wind that lifted tile or shingles, a limb through the roof, or a vent hole the fire department cut. Another storm can build the same evening. A roof that's open this afternoon can take on water again tonight.

Questions people ask with a hole in the roof
Usually asked while someone's moving a bucket to a new drip.
Should I get up there and throw a tarp on it myself?
Please don't. A roof after a storm or a fire is slick, and parts of it may be burned through or cracked. Tile breaks under your feet. A tarp that isn't anchored right turns into a sail in the next gust. Stay inside, put buckets under the drips and call us.
The fire department cut a hole in my roof. Is that normal?
Yes. Firefighters often open the roof to let heat and smoke out. It's part of putting the fire out, but it leaves a hole that needs covering before the next rain or wind comes through.
It's the desert. Does it really need a tarp?
Yes. Monsoon storms in the summer can dump a lot of rain fast, and the wind that comes with them lifts loose tiles and shingles. Even without rain, an open roof lets dust and heat into the attic. A tarp keeps it closed until the roofer gets to it.
Is this the repair, or just temporary?
Temporary. A tarp holds the line until a roofer can fix or replace that section. We don't do the permanent roof repair, and we'll say so up front so you can get a roofer on the calendar.
What about the water that already came in?
The tarp stops new water. It doesn't dry the attic insulation or the ceiling that already got wet. We check the rooms under the damaged area with moisture meters and dry what's wet, so it doesn't turn into a mold problem while you're waiting on the roofer.
How much does it cost? Will insurance pay?
We don't quote fire damage over the phone. Smoke gets into attics, closets and ductwork you can't see from the doorway, so the price has to come from an on-site walk-through. The estimate breaks board-up, cleaning, odor work, pack-out and rebuild into separate lines.
For roof tarping, the size and the roof decide it. A small patch of lifted tile on a single-story is quick. A burned opening on a steep two-story takes more tarp, more lumber and more people to do safely. If water already reached the ceiling, the interior drying gets its own line on the estimate.

Insurance or self-pay, you decide
Your carrier decides what the policy pays. Our job is the record: we photograph the damage before anything gets cleaned or hauled out, so the proof is still there after the debris is gone.

How we tarp a damaged roof
- 1
Photograph the damage first
We shoot the roof from the ground and up close, plus the ceiling stains and wet spots inside. Once a tarp covers it, your adjuster can't see what's under there.
- 2
Check what's safe to stand on
Burned decking and cracked tile don't hold weight the way they look like they should. We plan the route across the roof before anyone steps onto it.
- 3
Cover past the damage
The tarp runs well beyond the opening and up over the ridge where it can, so water running down the slope goes over the tarp instead of under it.
- 4
Anchor it so the wind can't lift it
It gets fastened to boards that hold it tight to the roof, instead of relying on loose weights that blow off in the first strong gust.
- 5
Check the inside
We go into the attic and the rooms underneath, take moisture readings, and set up drying where the water got in.
Every storm that hits an open roof adds to the damage.
Rain that gets through soaks the attic insulation first and then the drywall ceiling below it. Wet insulation is heavy. A ceiling holding it can sag.
Getting the tarp on quickly keeps the claim to what the first storm or the fire did, instead of adding a second round of water damage on top.
What's included
What we do on a tarping call, and where the roofer takes over.
What we do
- Photos of the roof and the interior before the tarp goes on
- A heavy tarp sized past the damaged area
- Anchoring with lumber so the wind can't get under it
- Moisture readings in the attic and the rooms underneath
- Drying wet insulation, drywall and framing below the damage
What we don't do
- Permanent roof repair or replacement. That's a licensed roofer.
- Replacing broken tile or shingles.
- Repairing rooftop AC units, solar panels or vents. Call the right trade for each.
Roof tarping questions
How long can a roof tarp stay up?
It's meant to hold until the roofer makes the permanent repair, not to be the roof. Sun and wind wear tarps down. The sooner the roofer gets there, the better. If it starts to loosen before then, call us.
How much does emergency roof tarping cost?
It depends on how big the damaged area is, how steep and high the roof is, and whether it's tile or shingle. A small section near the edge of a single-story house is a different job from a burned opening on a two-story. We give you the price before we go up.
Will insurance pay for roof tarping?
Tarping is usually seen as protecting the house from more damage, which your policy expects you to do. Your carrier decides what it pays. We send the photos we took before the tarp went on, plus the scope for the temporary work.
Should I call my roofer first or a roof tarping company?
Call both. After a big monsoon, roofers can be booked out, and a leak won't wait for their schedule. We get the tarp on and the inside drying. Your roofer comes when they can. Give them our photos so they know what they're walking into.
Do you fix the roof after you tarp it?
No. We're the temporary cover and the interior cleanup. A licensed roofer handles the permanent repair or replacement, and we'll leave the tarp up until they're ready to take it off.

Clear work, clean documentation, no mystery in the middle.
For Roof Tarping Services, you should be able to see what we found and what we did about it. That's what the paperwork is for.
When we leave, you should have a plain explanation of the work and paperwork that still makes sense weeks later if an adjuster asks.
Certified standards
IICRC-certified technicians work to the published industry standards instead of judging the job by how it looks.
Claim-ready documentation
Photos and scope notes are collected as the work moves, so you and your adjuster can see what changed and why.
Cleaning matched to the soot
Protein soot from a kitchen fire and synthetic soot from burning plastics need different methods. We test first so we don't smear residue deeper into the surface.
One accountable plan
The emergency work and the rebuild stay under one plan, so nothing falls into the gap between two contractors.
Local loss experience
Smoke moves through attics, closets and ductwork. We check those spaces before we price the job, not halfway through it.
What we tell you before work expands
What needs action now
What needs attention today and what can wait. If part of it belongs to a plumber or roofer, we say so.
What should stay closed
We don't open finished walls or ceilings until the readings and the access tell us it's worth it.
What happens next
Stabilize first. Repair decisions come after the building is under control.
