Tile & Grout Cleaning in Henderson, NV
Tile and grout cleaning gets the dirt, soap film and mineral scale out of the grout lines, where a mop can't reach. We scrub the lines, pull the dirty water back out with extraction instead of letting it dry in place, and can seal the grout afterward so it stays clean longer.
Hard water is the big one in Henderson and Las Vegas. It leaves a white crust on shower tile and glass that bathroom cleaners won't touch. We also clean floors after a leak, when the grout soaked up whatever was in the water.

What people notice about their tile
These are usually the reasons someone looks up tile and grout cleaning in the first place.
Why do my grout lines look dark even right after I mop?
Grout is porous. Every time you mop, the dirty water runs into the lines and dries there. After a while, the mop is mostly moving dirt from the tile into the grout. Getting it out takes scrubbing the lines and pulling the dirty water back out with extraction. Not more mopping.
What's the white crust on my shower tile and glass?
Usually hard-water scale. Las Vegas water is hard, and when it dries, it leaves minerals behind that bond to tile, grout and glass. Soap film builds on top of that. Regular bathroom cleaner barely touches thick scale, and scrubbing harder can scratch the finish.
We had a leak. The grout got stained. Can that come out?
Often. Grout that sat under a toilet overflow, a dishwasher leak or water from a broken supply line soaks up whatever was in that water. Clean-water stains usually lift. If it was sewage, we clean and disinfect the tile, and any grout that won't come clean has to be replaced.
Is my tile natural stone? Does it matter?
It matters a lot. If your floor or shower is travertine, marble or limestone, acidic cleaners etch it. That includes vinegar and many hard-water removers. Ceramic and porcelain can take more. We identify the tile before we pick the cleaner.
Will it stay clean?
Longer if the grout's sealed. Once it's clean and dry, we can apply a grout sealer that slows down how fast dirt and water get back in. Regular mopping with a neutral cleaner and clean water does the rest.
How much does it cost? Will insurance pay?
Cleaning is priced on site by the size of the area, the material and what's on it. Soot on hardwood is a different job from dust after construction.
For tile, the price depends on the square footage, the kind of buildup and the material. An open porcelain floor with ordinary dirt goes quickly. A stone shower with years of hard-water scale needs gentler products and slower work. Sealing adds time too.

How we clean tile and grout
- 1
Identify the tile and the grout
Ceramic, porcelain or stone. Sanded or unsanded grout. That decides what we can safely put on it.
- 2
Test the cleaner
We try it on a small spot, often behind a door or in a closet, to make sure it doesn't dull the finish or lighten the grout unevenly.
- 3
Loosen the buildup
The right cleaner goes on and sits long enough to soften soil, soap film or hard-water scale. Then the grout lines get scrubbed with brushes sized to fit them.
- 4
Rinse and extract
Extraction pulls the loosened dirt and cleaning solution back up out of the lines. Mopping would leave it there to dry.
- 5
Dry and seal
Once the grout is dry, we can seal it. If some lines are cracked or won't come clean, we point them out and tell you what regrouting would involve.
The cleaner that works on ceramic can ruin stone.
Most hard-water removers are acidic. That's why they work on scale. On travertine or marble, that same acid eats into the stone and leaves dull, rough spots that don't polish back out with any cleaner.
So before anything goes on the floor or the shower, we figure out what the tile is. It's the first question we ask, and the answer changes the job.
What's included
What a tile and grout job covers, and where it stops.
What we do
- Identifying the tile and grout before we pick a cleaner
- Spot testing in a hidden area
- Scrubbing grout lines and removing soap film and hard-water scale
- Extraction to pull the dirty water back out
- Grout sealing, if you want it
- Cleaning and disinfecting tile after a leak or overflow
What we don't do
- Regrouting, re-caulking or replacing cracked tile. We'll point it out.
- Polishing or refinishing natural stone. That's a stone restoration specialist.
- Fixing the leak that stained the grout. That's a plumber.
Tile and grout cleaning questions
How much does tile and grout cleaning cost?
It's priced once we've seen it, and the estimate is free. The square footage, how much buildup there is, whether it's stone, and whether you want the grout sealed all change the price. A shower with heavy scale takes more time per square foot than an open kitchen floor.
Does insurance pay for cleaning tile after a water leak?
If the leak is a covered loss, cleaning the affected tile and grout is often included in the claim. Everyday buildup and hard-water scale aren't. Your carrier decides, and we note what was cleaned and why.
Can you remove hard water stains from shower tile?
In most cases, yes, on ceramic and porcelain. Stone is more delicate, so we use products that won't etch it and take longer to get there. Glass that's already been etched by years of scale won't come fully clear.
Should I seal my grout after cleaning?
Yes, especially in showers and entryways. Sealer doesn't make grout waterproof, but it slows down how quickly dirty water and soap soak in, so it stays clean longer between deep cleans.
Can you make old grout look new?
Cleaning brings back a lot of the original color. If the grout is crumbling, cracked, or permanently stained, cleaning won't fix that. It needs to be regrouted. We'll tell you which one you're looking at.
