Moisture check and cabinet refinishing in an Anthem home
We were called in to check a stained baseboard in an Anthem home, and the job moved on to refinishing the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinets.
The stained baseboard had to come off so we could read the wall base behind it, so the plastic containment went up first, in case there was mold in the wall. With the checks done, the crew masked the cabinets and nearby walls with paper and tape before any finish went on. The laundry room cabinets were refinished and their doors rehung.

The house is on the Inspirada side of Anthem, a few blocks from Solista Park and about half a mile from Capriola Park. Volunteer Boulevard and Sun City Anthem Drive are the closest main roads, and The Revere Golf Club is about a mile away.
What we did
- 1 Set up a plastic containment with a zipper door around the work area before the baseboard came off, in case there was mold behind it.
- 2 Pulled the baseboard and checked the wall base with a thermal moisture meter.
- 3 Masked the cabinets and surrounding walls with paper and tape before finishing.
- 4 Refinished the laundry room cabinets and rehung the doors.
