Condo garage wall opened and cleaned in Spring Valley
We got called out for dark staining along the base of a condo garage wall near the hose bib and water softener, off West Tropicana in Spring Valley.
The parked car was covered and the containment built beside it before any drywall came out, so if there was mold behind the stained drywall it would stay in that corner. Cutting the lower drywall exposed the sheathing and framing, and the concrete curb and wall base were scrubbed with a brush and cleaner. The removed drywall was bagged and the garage floor cleaned up.

This condo is just off Rainbow Boulevard, with Torrey Pines Drive and Hacienda Avenue as the other main roads nearby. Paul Meyer Park and Laurelwood Park are each about half a mile away, and the 215 Beltway is a couple of miles off.
What we did
- 1 Covered the parked car and built a plastic containment with a zipper door, in case there was mold behind the stained drywall.
- 2 Cut out the stained lower drywall to expose the sheathing and framing.
- 3 Scrubbed the concrete curb and wall base with a brush and cleaner.
- 4 Bagged the removed drywall and cleaned up the garage floor.
