Wet walls dried and tile floors rebuilt in The Trails
We got called out for wet walls along the baseboards and tile floors of a home in The Trails.
Thermal readings along the baseboards and wall bases showed which walls were wet, and once the drywall was cut we could see the framing and plumbing lines. The hallway containment went up before the tile was pulled, in case there was mold behind the walls. After drying, the corner was rebuilt with new texture, tile and baseboard.

Where this job was
This Summerlin home is in The Trails, about half a mile from The Trails Park and The Hills Park. Hills Center Drive and Village Center Circle are the main roads nearby, and Summerlin Parkway is about half a mile away.
What we did
- 1 Took thermal moisture readings along the baseboards and wall bases.
- 2 Hung plastic containment in the hallway before any tile or drywall came out, in case mold was behind the walls.
- 3 Pulled the tile flooring and cut the lower drywall open to the framing and the plumbing lines.
- 4 Set air movers around the opened rooms to keep the air turning like a slow tornado, with a dehumidifier in the middle and an air scrubber filtering dust and airborne particles like mold spores.
- 5 Repaired and textured the walls, laid new tile and installed new baseboard.
