Bathroom floor moisture checks and drying in east Paradise
We got called out for moisture in the bathroom tile and the wood-look floor outside it at an east Paradise home.
The readings started at the tile by the supply valve and continued onto the wood-look flooring outside the bathroom. The toilet was pulled out of the way so the drying equipment could sit in the bathroom.

Where this job was
The house is off Eastern Avenue near Flamingo Road, about half a mile from Orr School Park and the Pecos McLeod trailhead. Winchester Park is about a mile away, and US 95 is a couple of miles from the house.
What we did
- 1 Checked the tile floor by the supply valve with an imaging moisture meter.
- 2 Checked the wood-look flooring outside the bathroom with the same meter.
- 3 Pulled the toilet out of the way.
- 4 Set the air mover so the air circled the bathroom past the wet tile, with the dehumidifier in the middle pulling moisture out and the air scrubber filtering dust and airborne particles like mold spores.
